Lots of news at COROA these days!
COROA’s annual meeting and dinner will be Tuesday, March 29th at McMenamins. As a way of thanking our wonderful COROA members and advertisers, the first fifty that sign up will be able to attend at half price, which is only $15! To get this price, you must be one of the first 50 and must register and pay in full by March 11. All those who register after March 11 or are not part of the first fifty will pay the regular price of $30 per person.
Our speakers will be Dan Steelhammer reporting on the2011 COROA rental survey, vacancy factors and rent trends. In addition, Eric King, Bend City Manager, will update us on the latest issues affecting our city. Don’t miss this important event! A registration form is included in this newsletter.
The February 22nd COROA education class will be “2011 Tax Update For Landlords,” and will be presented by a local CPA. Real estate and property management licensees will receive two hours of continuing education credit for this class.
On April 26th, we will be holding a class on carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, and clarifying the requirements of the new carbon monoxide monitoring law. Attendees will also learn how to make their properties more fire-safe. This class also offers continuing education.
The Board of Directors of COROA has added a new sub-committee of Property Managers. Kevin Restine will head this committee and arrange quarterly gatherings to talk about issues specific to the property management industry. Membership in COROA is required to attend these meetings.
Thank you to all the members and hard working Board of Directors for making COROA such an effective organization.
Hope to see you all March 29th at the annual meeting.
Sincerely,
