Central Oregon investment property owners are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel!
Slowly, the vacancy rates are decreasing. Single family homes available for rent are actually in short supply. Landlords have reduced the move-in incentives offered to new tenants. These are all positive indications that we have turned the corner. We are at the forefront of a period of recovery that may be punctuated with stops and starts. Now is the time to fill your rental properties with better quality renters and write leases that will carry you through winter 2011. Historically, the winter months see a sluggish rental market; as such, writing one year leases now will carry you through next winter.
Now, let’s talk about buying! At these low prices, it’s easier to recognize positive cash flow. One thing I am sure of…This is the bottom. Take a deep breath and look at the great buying opportunities in Central Oregon.
Watch for the new COROA brochure in our forms offices. It is being printed now and it looks great thanks to board members Terry Flora Turner and Becky Ozrelic.
