Hi Friends!
We had another successful and well attended class in October. The topic was “Property Management Tune-up,” and much useful and helpful information was exchanged. The questions were plentiful and thought provoking. I thank you who were in attendance for your involvement in the process.
This upcoming November class is certainly one you should attend… (drum roll please) … Evictions and Mediation. This topic can generate uncertainty and anxiety, and this is your opportunity to replace fear with knowledge! Please take note that we will deviate from our regularly scheduled Tuesday class to accommodate our speaker’s schedule. The Evictions and Mediation class will be held on Wednesday, November 16, at 5:30 pm at the Central Oregon Association of Realtors, 2112 NE 4th St., Bend. (See registration form in this issue of the newsletter.)
As always, I am interested in your thoughts, feedback, and/or suggestions for our monthly classes, forms, legislation, and communications. Board members of COROA, including myself, will be attending an Oregon Rental Housing Association Board Meeting on November 19, and we want to hear from you. Terry Flora-Turner is serving on the Forms Committee, so please contact her with any items or edits you would like to see implemented. Terry can be reached at terry@hdpm.net.
I’m sure I am not the only one to notice that it is getting colder. Make sure you have winterized your irrigation systems and your vacant units. It’s also helpful to remind your tenants in your occupied units of the precautions they must take to ensure a flood and/or frozen pipe free winter. I look forward to your feedback and to seeing you at our next class!
