It is going fast … Summer I mean. It won’t be long before the weather cools, the days get very short, and fall (and yes, even winter) is upon us. Now is the time to complete those maintenance items that will preserve your property. The Central Oregon climate is hard on exterior paint. Don’t let it get the upper hand. Consistent maintenance will bring peace of mind and property preservation.
Walk around your property with a discerning eye; assess those items that need attention and take action. Look at your landscaping. Though it will soon go dormant, take steps necessary to ensure a healthy return next spring. If you are unsure as to what steps should be taken, consult a landscape professional or speak with a fellow COROA property owner for advice.
Remember that true value does not necessarily mean lowest cost, but rather best result for your dollar spent. Take the time now that the days are long and the weather is warm, so that you reduce the likelihood that you will have to leave your warm home during a wonderful college football game (or other equally entertaining programming) to address an urgent issue. Take care of your property inside and out, and it will likely take care of you.
Don’t miss our September 27th class presented by the Fair Housing Council of Oregon. I encourage you at attend this class to better understand and comply with the precepts of Fair Housing.
If you have suggestions for improving COROA, please take a moment to email me with your thoughts. The COROA Board of Directors desires to provide meaningful education and support, as well as exceptional value! Be active, be involved, be invested. We need each other!
Warm Regards,
